1.   PART TIME BEAUTICIAN DIPLOMA COURSE CIBTAC, ITEC      
This course is suitable for those ladies who are working or have family commitments. Students attend two evenings per week & cover all aspects of facial therapy with students leading to the international examinations of CIBTAC / ITEC.
   

Course Content : Practical / Theoretical

A: Facial Therapy
Recognition of skin types, cream & milk cleanse, facial treatments including: galvanism, high-frequency, vacuum suction, ozone, faradism, ultra-violet, infra-red, massage, masks, paraffin masks, moisturising.

B: Eye Care
Eye & lash cleansing, eye masks, eyebrow shaping, eyelash & eyebrow tinting, eyelash extensions.

C: Make-Up
Application of all cosmetic preparations, shading, highlighting, face shapes, colour tones, day & evening make-up.


D: Facial Electric's
Specialised electrical equipment for use in facial treatments inc: Direct & Indirect High Frequency, Galvanism, Vacuum Suction, Faradic, Micro Current, Ultra-Sound, Audio sonic, Ultra Violet & Infra Red.

E: Manicure Pedicure
Manicure Pedicure routines with use of all implements, hand, arm & leg massage. Specialised treatment inc: oil manicure, Paraffin wax & application of false nails.

 

F: Superfluous Hair
Removal of unwanted hair with hot & warm types of wax on legs, and bikini line, underarms & Facial areas. Also bleaching of superfluous hair.

G: Core subjects
Sterilisation & hygiene, Professional ethics, First aid, Business & public relations, electricity.

H: CSE (Commercial Salon Environment)
When students have reached a competent stage of training, they will begin client days to achieve confidence in dealing with clients.

 
 

I: Anatomy & Physiology
Muscles, bones, nerves, blood supply and lymphatic system of head, face & neck.

   

2.   Anatomy & Physiology Diploma ITEC, CIBTAC\
         Body Massage Diploma ITEC, CIBTAC

Massage is an ancient art as old as time itself with its powers having proved themselves as a healing art for the many degenerative processes which invade the body. Massage is in demand now more than ever before as people are turning to the more natural forms of therapy for relief of everyday stress & strains. Massage produces so many physiological & psychological effects which means that the therapist must be professionally trained to cater for each particular clients needs.

At our college we ensure that students are trained to a very high professional standard so that you shall meet the demands of a wide variety of clients.
Because Massage works on the entire body affecting the internal functioning it is necessary for the therapist to understand how the body’s system function.

Due to the fact that students shall be working towards the International Diploma’s of ITEC& CIBTAC it is essential to study Anatomy& Physiology as part of this professional course.

Students wishing to undertake studies in aromatherapy or Reflexology shall commence their studies with the Anatomy, Physiology & Massage section, on completion of this stage the student may continue onto a post-graduate subject ie. Aromatherapy / Reflexology.
     
 
3.   ITEC Reflexology Diploma Course  
                                 

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy used in the prevention of disease. It will induce relaxation & elimination of toxins & add the dispersal of lactic acid which is a major cause of pain in the body.

Reflexology is excellent in the treatment of stress, sinus, headaches, Rheumatism, arthritis, digestive problems etc. It is a specific pressure technique applied to the feet and hands where all the internal body structures are mapped in miniature on the hands and feet.

           
                             
     
4.   ITEC Aromatherapy Diploma Course  
Aromatherapy incorporates the use of essential oils extracted from plants, fruits, wood, flowers etc.  These oils are natural substances and now combined with various massage techniques are found to be extremely effective in treating mind and body.  Aromatherapy is a wonderful complementary therapy treating forms of depression, insomnia, rheumatism, arthritis etc, and has an uplifting effect.

On completion of the course successful students shall become practioners known as aromatherapists.
 
5.   Electrical Epilation Diploma - CIBTAC & ITEC
                               
Electrical Epilation is the removal of superfluous (unwanted) hair. This method of epilation is the only permanent method of removing hair.  Electrologists may need to work along with the medical profession and will thus learn the many medical factors which affect hair growth. Along with the study of the skin, skin diseases& disorders students shall gain a deep knowledge of the endocrine system learning the effects of the secretions of the bodily hormones. Successful students shall qualify in all three methods Galvanic,
High-Frequency & Blend Epilation.
                                       
6.   Spa & Stone Therapy Course - ITEC & CIDESCO Spa Therapy Diploma
                                       

Health & Beauty Spa’s are worldwide from many countries throughout Ireland across Europe and most especially in the Far East. Most hotels have now added spas to their services.  Our Spa Therapy course is available to Beauty Therapists, students undertaking their Beauty Therapy Diploma and those holding a Diploma in Body Treatments.  The Spa therapy Diploma is an exciting course taking students to a deeper relaxation & luxury treatments along with the various methods of hydrotherapy.

 
The course also explains theuse of Body Peels, body Scrubs & Masks for the Body.  Seaweed & Seawater treatments along with Body Wraps are also included as part of this Diploma Course. The ITEC Spa Therapy Diploma is available to all Beauty Therapists, Body Therapists (with a recognised Diploma) & the CIDESCO Spa Therapy Diploma is available to Cidesco Diploma Holders only.
